EQUINOX FLOW FEST FAQs

WHAT IS FLOW ARTS?

Flow Arts is a form of moving meditation, a physical expression of emotion, and a medium to channel personal growth. At its most simple form, Flow Arts is the disciplined movement of one or more objects around the body.

WHAT IS EQUINOX FLOW FEST?

Equinox Flow Fest is the 20th-anniversary celebration of the Chicago Full Moon Jam. It is an all-ages, family-friendly weekend retreat, where artists, dancers and drummers can gather to learn, share and play! All skill levels are welcome, and there will be classes for both beginners and advanced performers. A fire safety training will be held on Saturday night for anyone interested in learning how to fire dance.

GATE HOURS
The gate will be open from 10:00am - 10:00pm CST on Friday (9/20) and Saturday (9/21). Everyone must leave the property by 3:00pm on Sunday (9/22). There will be no ticket sales available at the gate so please buy your ticket in advance! The exact address of the venue will be provided to all ticket holders one week prior to the event.

IN & OUTS
Leaving in and out is discouraged, as this makes things difficult for our parking staff. However, if it is essential, you may leave and return during open gate hours (10am - 10pm) with a bribe for gate crew.

WATER / ICE

Ice: No ice will be available for sale on site. Casey's is the closest gas station in Woodstock.
Water: Potable well water will be available on site.
A hand washing station will be available as well.

PORTA-POTTIES & SHOWERS
Portos (including ADA) will be on site, but there will be no showers.

NO PETS!
We do not allow pets with the exception of trained service animals. “Service Animals” as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) may accompany a disabled owner – All other animals, including pets and emotional support animals, are prohibited and will be turned away at the Gate without admission. Please pre-register your service animal by emailing your request along with the legal name used to purchase your ticket to info@fullmoonjam.org so that we can best accommodate your circumstances and simplify the entry process.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS? DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM?
Equinox Flow Fest is all ages! Kids 6 & under are free. Kids 7-14 accompanied by an adult can get a Kids Ticket. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by parents or a responsible adult at all times. Please DO NOT leave children unattended.

We advise making sure your child knows where the Civic Center is located. This way, if they get separated from you, they’ll know where to go for help.

We request you write your name and phone number on a wristband worn by your child. If they wander off, this will help the staff or fellow attendees to contact you quickly. Ensure your child knows what to do if they can’t find you. Instruct them to stay in one place if they realize they’re lost and to look for a trusted adult, such as event staff, for assistance.

IS EFF A SOBER AND SUBSTANCE-FREE EVENT?
To maintain a positive and wholesome atmosphere, we strictly prohibit the presence of alcohol or substances on our event site. Our goal is to provide a sober and uplifting experience for all participants, fostering a vibrant and mindful community.

CONSENT
Sexual consent is an agreement that requires people are of legal age, are properly informed, are not under coercion, and are not incapacitated. The consent model holds that one person proposes an action and the other gives permission for it. Consent is the bare minimum required for legal and ethical sexual activity.

There are a lot of things that do not imply consent. Sexy costumes are not consent, nudity is not consent, being drunk is not consent, being underage is not consent, being asleep is not consent, and being too scared to resist is not consent. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. If you have agreed to start something and find that it feels wrong to you, you have the right to stop it, and your partner has the obligation to honor your change of heart. Losing the ability to say “No” through intoxication also withdraws consent.

COVID POLICY
Exposure to COVID-19 is still an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. We care about you, we care about the community. We want all our guests and attendees to feel WELCOME & SAFE, and we are committed to following the city, county, & state guidelines for outdoor events. To this end: WE REQUEST THAT NO ONE WITH COVID SYMPTOMS ATTEND! Regardless of if you have COVID or not, we do not wish to spread any illness among our attendees. We will have hand sanitizing stations and handwashing stations. Wash Your Hands and please cover your mouth when coughing and sneezing.

EMERGENCIES INVOLVING 911
Volunteers are your portal to off-site medical care locations. While you have the right to contact 911 directly, please try to route the request through an organizer or volunteer so we can remain “in the loop” and facilitate it. If you need to be evacuated to a hospital or wish to travel to one yourself, please contact the First Aid tent. We will provide information or assistance to get you to the local hospital or Urgent Care Center.

LEAVE NO TRACE
As with all Full Moon Jam events, this is a Leave No Trace event. Please make sure to Leave No Trace of your campsite and pick up anything you may find along the way. We know trash is not a fun traveling companion, but it is vitally important that everything you pack out ends up at your own home, NOT on the side of the road or in private dumpsters!

Please read our Code of Conduct policy listed at the top of this page for details on expected participant behavior.
