BURNERS WITHOUT BORDERS CHICAGO WINTER BALL

Are you looking for a convenient way to beat the cold, meet new people, shake your booty, support local artists, and help fund disaster relief efforts all at once? Come to BWB Chicago's Winter Ball at Salvage One on Saturday, February 8th (7pm - 1am)!

Burners Without Borders Winter Ball is more than just a party—it’s a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿. Every ticket sold supports the incredible work BWB Chicago does year-round, from their Arts Education Project for Newcomers to their BWB Free Store, which helps to combat housing and food scarcity in Chicago. This event helps fund their mission to build community, inspire creativity, and create positive social change.

The Winter Ball is their 10th Annual Fundraiser and a way to create community during the dreariest, darkest part of the year. There will be DJs, live music, dance, interactive art installations, and live performances all night. There will be no fire at this event, but there will be an open LED Flow Jam, and the Full Moon Jam will be bringing a small sample of the Flow Prop Library for people to play and explore!

This year’s theme, 𝑫𝙖𝒓𝙠 𝙈𝒂𝙩𝒕𝙚𝒓 / 𝑰𝙣𝒏𝙚𝒓 𝑩𝙧𝒊𝙡𝒍𝙞𝒂𝙣𝒄𝙚, invites you to embrace the mystery and vastness within yourself. Formal attire with bright flair is encouraged, so dress to depress and radiate your dark energy—wear something deep, bold, and inspiring as we celebrate together in style.

About BWB Chicago:

Burners Without Borders (BWB) began with a group from Burning Man who used their skills to assist in the Hurricane Katrina Crisis in New Orleans. Since then, they have established local chapters across the U.S. that fund often overlooked social change initiatives. BWB Chicago focuses on empowering the community through immediate projects, such as a community resource store, the Clever Cats animal rescue, and an arts education program for migrant children. Their past efforts have included community gardens, food drives, participation in national and international disaster relief, and community development programs.

PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT - Rozbot (she/her)

"I first got involved with flow/fire when I taught dance at my first flow fest in 2015. Over the next decade, I taught at dozens more flow festivals and picked up juggling on the way. It is an absolute delight to be able to see my friends and loved ones do incredible things with fire, props, and their bodies. It is an even greater pleasure to be able to witness other people appreciating how cool and hot my people are! I perform regularly around Chicago. You can most likely catch me performing at the Drifter or Untitled Supper Club in River North."
